Axie Infinity is an online play to earn game that runs on the Ethereum blockchain. Players can collect and trade digital pets, or “Axies”, in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that come with unique designs and attributes. In addition, players can engage their Axies in battles and own digital plots of land in the Axie Infinity universe. AXS, also known as Axie Infinity Shard, is an Ethereum token that allows players to vote on decisions regarding the governance of the platform via staking.
